Kirk Russell has been an award winning photographic artist and painter for over 30 years and lives in the Mystic/Stonington Connecticut area.
Lifestyle wedding photography, photojournalistic and traditional wedding photography are trademarks Kirk offers brides.
Duet Portraits
Kirk is known for his "Duet Portraits", a unique artistic concept which combines painting and photography to create an original work of art on canvas or fine art watercolor paper.
A Duet Portrait is the combination of two art forms, photography & painting to create an original work of art on canvas, fine art water color paper, or as part of a wedding album. Kirk creates child portraits and paintings for his clients.
Several magazines have featured Kirk's "Duet Portraits" and have written about his cutting edge artistic style. There is a slogan at Russell Studio, "The Camera is only the beginning". Many of Kirk's brides have wedding images as paintings in their homes.
Kirk is kept busy creating fine art paintings or photos of: portraits, weddings, and children, as well as his commercial and location assignments.
Kirk's wedding coverage is second to none. His creatively designed wedding albums, and coffee table books are displayed in homes world-wide.
Kirk creates a multimedia presentation set to music for many of his clients, as exampled in viewing Kirks multi-media shows on his website; not just a simple slide show as most studios present. Russell Studio is the oldest and most well known studio in the area.

Weddings à la carte range from $250.00 for the 1st hour, and $175.00 for each hour thereafter, or choose from complete packages starting under $1,500.00.

Under privacy agreement Kirk is limited to name but just a few of the people he has focused his camera on. Names such as James Earl Jones, Michael Douglas, Robert Redford, fashion icon Mary McFadden as well as President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Mrs. Carter to name a few.
